FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Professional Grappling Federation Completes Four-Team Expansion With Colorado Wolverines Franchise Sale

David Segraves, a Lieutenant Colonel and Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps, acquires the fourth and final franchise slot for the 2026 season.

Las Vegas, NV - The Professional Grappling Federation (PGF) is proud to announce the completion of its 2026 expansion with the sale of the Colorado Wolverines franchise. The acquisition by David Segraves, a Lieutenant Colonel and Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps, marks the fourth franchise sale and completes the league's team roster for Season 9.

Segraves brings a rare combination of strategic leadership and competitive fire to the PGF ownership circle. His military background—decades of high-stakes decision-making, leadership under pressure, and operational excellence—translates directly to the demands of professional sports ownership.

"The PGF represents exactly what professional grappling should be: elite competition, authentic storytelling, and a format that rewards aggression," said Segraves. "The Wolverines will embody Rocky Mountain grit—relentless, disciplined, and built to compete at the highest level. We're here to win championships."

The Wolverines will debut in Season 9 alongside the Las Vegas Kings, Alabama Twisters, and Philadelphia Phenoms. Colorado's franchise immediately boasts roster firepower with two Colorado natives already signed: Caleb Crump and Jonathan Wilson.

Franchise Cornerstones: Crump and Wilson

Caleb Crump enters as a high-frequency submission specialist known for a relentless pace that personifies PGF's win-or-die ethos. His aggressive, forward-moving style makes him a natural fit for the league's 20-second shot clock format.

Jonathan Wilson, known as "Officer Grimy," brings veteran composure and a suffocating tactical style proven under PGF's unique ruleset. Wilson's ability to control pace and find finishes in scrambles gives the Wolverines a versatile anchor.

"Caleb and Jonathan are exactly the type of athletes we want representing Colorado," said Segraves. "They compete with discipline and intensity. They finish fights. That's the Wolverines standard."

A Four-Team League Takes Shape

With the Wolverines acquisition, the PGF has completed its expansion to four franchise teams for Season 9:

The completed four-team structure sets the stage for the most competitive season in PGF history. Weekly team duels will determine playoff seeding, culminating in a championship bracket where every franchise has a shot at the title.

"David represents the caliber of ownership we envisioned when we launched the franchise model," said PGF commissioner Brandon McCaghren. "Military leadership, competitive drive, and a commitment to building something lasting. The Wolverines are going to be a problem for every team on the schedule."
